Do I Need A Visa To Travel To Spain
The government of Spain follows different set of rules and regulations for travelers coming from different countries. Hence, the requirement of travel related documents also differs accordingly. Usually, tourist visas are granted for ninety days. |
Not all country natives are required to apply for visa to travel in Spain. If you are a U.S. native, you’re exempted from applying for visa to visit Spain; all you need is a valid U.S. passport along with proof of adequate bank balance and details of your to-and-fro air-line tickets. But if you are not a U.S. citizen, you will have to get your visa form duly signed and submitted to the Spain Embassy located at your locality. What’s more, you will also have to state the reason of your visit to France in the visa application form. If asked by the officials of the Spain Embassy, you will also have to submit details such as, the documents proving your stay in France, your travel agent’s details, and your tickets (i.e. both arrival and return) details.
You will be required to fill four visa application forms along with your signatures at all required places and with your four passport sized photographs. You may be asked to submit details of your credit card balance which you will be using while your stay in Spain. If you’re employed, then you may also have to attest your company details along with your visa application form.
In some cases, you may also have to submit details of your relatives, friends or family members residing in Spain. If you’re a minor, you will have to get an authorized letter from your parents or legal guardian. The Spain Embassy also emphasizes on the need of getting your medical policy insured.
